Board Committee Descriptions: Finance Committee Responsible for fiscal policy development and sound fiscal management necessary to meet present and future financial needs and to make recommendations to the board regarding each aspect. To have oversight for the investment performance of the Council's invested funds. Integrated Property Planning Committee Responsible for policy development as related to property replacements, acquisition, and sound property use and management essential to the effective and efficient delivery of the Girl Scout program and to make recommendations to the board regarding each aspect. Fund Development Committee As a group, makes recommendations to the board of directors regarding policies and programs for fund development that will result in adult-generated income needed to fund general operating and capital expenditures as projected by the Finance Committee. Also responsible for engaging each board member in fund development activities and programs. Human Services Committee Reviews and makes recommendations, as needed on policies related to Council volunteers and is responsible for the recognition of volunteers. Advocacy Committee Is responsible for advocacy development and strategies to increase awareness for girl's issues and initiatives. The committee also works to garner legislative support and to make recommendations to the board regarding each aspect. Policy Influencing Committee Is responsible for managing the policy-influencing system for the Council. It ensures the members of the Council are informed of the delegate unit system and its role in Girl Scouting.
Board Task Force Descriptions: By Girls, For Girls Task Force This task force works across the organization to promote the girl-centric approach and to ensure that girls' voices are heard in all aspects of our work. Transition Task Force This task force, with input from operations and board standing committees, will develop an implementation plan for council realignment.
