This pristine property features pine woods, hiking trails, meadows, a nature pond, sports field and pavilion building. Twin Hills also offers day camps each summer. Activities include music, drama, games, arts and crafts, cookouts, and an optional overnight. Camp Wapanacki, our premier resident camp, is located on a 22-acre private lake with a beautiful backdrop of mountains, meadows, forests, and streams. Camp Wapanacki features a wealth of activities for girls in grades 1-11 including horseback riding, water fun, drama and creative arts, science and nature, and sports. And, when camp is not in session, Camp Wapanacki is available for troop use and overnights. Vermont House provides excellent camping experiences for troops/groups at beginning levels or for those who do not want a primitive camp experience. Vermont House provides a great base of operation for a variety of outdoor program experiences. The Essex Service Center is the state headquarters for the council. Located on the edge of Essex in the Essex Community Forest and Industrial Park, it features a wooded setting and easy hiking trails. This site is very popular with troops who "camp" in the conference room on the floor and enjoy the convenience of our central kitchen and three bathrooms. Because of the site's access to the greater Burlington area, many troops use it as a base camp from which to enjoy local museums, cultural events, and the city. This site also provides a terrific, home-like space for first overnights for younger local troops. And, girls can earn the new "Properties Adventure Patch" just by visiting all four Girl Scout Properties. |
