Short-term Paid Positions

After School Program Staff

Part-time positions leading after school programs offered by the Girl Scout Council of Vermont in Burlington/Winooski School systems. Qualified applicants would have interest in working with young people, access to transportation, ability to work independently once trained. Prior experience working with young people preferred but not required.

       Benefits

After-School/Vacation Camp Coordinator: The coordinator's primary responsibilities are recruitment, training and support of volunteer counselors who will work with brownie/junior girl scouts during after-school/vacation periods.  The coordinator is also responsible for securing program materials and safe meeting sites. Program Coordinator for Girls' Eye View: The coordinator's primary responsiblilities are recruitment, training and support of volunteer mentor teams who will work with middle school girls supporting them through self-discovery using photography and journalism.  You are also responsible for identifying girl participants from middle schools, assist with girl/mentor matching, secure program materials and safe meeting sites. Program Coordinator for Gizmo Girls: The coordinator's primary responsiblilities are recruitment, training and support of volunteer mentors who will work with junior girl scouts instructing various engineering/technology activities.  The coordinator is also responsible for matching mentors, securing program materials and safe meeting sites.
