Bronze, Silver, and Gold Awards
The Girl Scout Bronze, Silver, and Gold Awards are the highest awards that a Girl Scout can earn at ages 11- 18. Each award represents your commitment to making a difference in your community. Each offers you a unique opportunity to affect powerful, positive change AND, by choosing to take this step and by being an active member of your community, you are saying “ I CAN make a difference.”
Most importantly you choose a project that interests you. Where is your passion? What do you want to say? What will be your legacy to your community? To give you an idea, one Bronze project raised $1000 for Katrina Relief. Past Silver projects have increased environmental awareness and provided healthy after school alternatives for local youth. Gold awardees have organized volunteer fairs in their communities, built gazebos, made improvements to their local libraries, informed and educated on common health issues, and increased organ donation awareness.
The choices are only limited by your imagination and determination. And, Gold awardees are eligible for a number of college scholarships.
