Think Twin Hills for Rustic Troop Camp Experiences!

Twin Hills in Richmond, VT is our oldest site offering group camping experiences for Girl Scout Troops. This unspoiled, primitive property features pine woods, hiking trails, meadows, a nature pond, sports fields, and a large pavilion with a wonderful old rock fireplace and wooden shutters nestled in the trees. It is appropriate for all age levels and provides emphasis on pioneer/primitive camping and outdoor adventures.

The Pixie Cabin holds a fireplace, wood cook stove, and low sleeping loft that easily holds an entire troop. Large Adirondack lean-tos offer troops another camping option. Those troops wanting to progress to more advanced experiences in backpacking and orienteering will love Twin Hills, too, as an open area for tents is just a short hike away near the orchard. The amenities are rustic, charming and timeless, offering troops an opportunity to live like pioneers for the weekend. But, Twin Hills is completely handicap accessible.

Twin Hills also offers Day Camps each summer. Activities include music, drama, games, arts and crafts, cookouts and an optional overnight campout. Sorry, swimming is not available at Twin Hills.
